Band Competition

Ben and Luke were in a band regional band competition today. They're band received a silver medal! Yay for them!!! 

They played 4 songs.  This is one of them - I missed the first two measures of the song with the recording, but I love this song so here it is.

This next video is another one of my favorites. Although, someone called in on my phone which ended the recording a few measures before the end of the song. Bummer. But you still hear most of the song. 

The trumpet parts in this song are mainly played by Ben and another kid, I love how they sound its my favorite part of the song.
If you listen closely you can hear the trombone parts - that's Luke and the other trombonists. Luke just joined the select band a few months ago.  He is the only 6th grade trombonist in the band, the rest are 7th &8th grade.  I'm proud of him for holding his own with the big kids.

We were really proud of them. They did a great job!

Husband

I've had a hubby home for a day and a half and he's been busy! 

It's amazing what gets done around the house when he's home.

Van- in the shop - hopefully home by Friday

Camaro - fixed -  this is most helpful, it allows us to have two cars while the van is in the shop

Leaky sink -fixed

Door falling off hinges -fixed

Very plugged bath tub - fixed

Plugger in bath tub - fixed

Garden - tilled and some seeds planted - done

Xbox - fixed

I think I'm in LOVE with the handy man.

Camera

My camera is in the hospital. Not for anything major, when I put my memory card in the slot the latch doesn't work to hold the card in place. The camera has been gone for 5 days and I miss it  A LOT.  Almost like I would miss a 4th child. :-)
